The Terrell Tigers are entering the 2025 season attempting to build off their fourth straight playoff appearance last year. The Tigers have made the postseason each of the last three seasons, coming up just short as they fell in the Bi-district round in 2023 and 2024.

The Terrell Tigers boys’ and girls’ cross country teams are set for a big 2025 season with a big roster as the season gets underway. After amassing over 50 runners last season between both teams, the Tigers have added double digits to bring the roster to an even 80 runners.

Change is rarely comfortable. For some employees and athletes alike, it feels like an unwelcome disruption, no matter how well it’s explained or supported.

The Terrell Lady Tigers are looking to forget last season and forge a new path as they enter 2025. Terrell finished at 11-22 overall last season but went winless in district play, finishing 0-13.

The end of the First Called Special Session of 2025 is in sight, but the Texas Senate did its job by passing all 16 items on the Governor’s list. Unfortunately, House Democrats fled the state, leaving their duties, families, and constituents in the lurch.

editor@terrelltribune.com The Texas Education Agency (TEA) recently released their accountability ratings for the 202425 school year. While a few schools in Kaufman County fared well, a few saw their ratings dip since 2020.

Chances are very good that if you hunt deer, turkey or wild hogs in Texas you have at least one corn feeder on the property you hunt. You also have some sort of stand or blind that you hunt from.

August 18-25: Al-anon meetings for family and friends of alcoholics will be held each Monday at noon at the First United Methodist Church, located on 503 W. College Street in Terrell.
