KCSO in search of fatal hit-and-run suspect

editor@terrelltribune.com The Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office is still in search of a fatal hit-and-run suspect from a fatal collision in Terrell in early June. KCSO is searching for Victor Eduardo Mendoza Mondragon for failing to stop and render aid in a collision involving death from a deadly two-vehicle crash on FM 429 in Terrell on June 13.

Multiple people indicted in deadly truck crash

editor@terrelltribune.com A truck driver at the wheel that killed five people on I-20 near Terrell was indicted on multiple charges by a Kaufman County grand jury this past week. A company official for the trucking company, Hope Trans, was also indicted for felony forgery.

Single-vehicle wreck injures family dog

A single-vehicle rollover on U.S. Highway at County Road 350 injured a family dog around 2:45 p.m. on Tuesday, July 29. The truck left the road through two fences before rolling several times. Elmo FD firefighters treated a family dog that was struck by the vehicle with bandages and splinting for a possible broken leg. The driver was checked out and released on scene while the family transported the dog to the veterinarian to be checked out.
