Students interested in the automotive industry invited to free program at Texas Motorplex on October 10 prior to big weekend of NHRA Racing

Students and teachers from throughout D/FW will have a unique opportunity to explore careers in the automotive industry in the ideal setting, Texas Motorplex, on the morning before the track hosts day one of the Texas NHRA FallNationals on Friday October 10, 2025. The event is hosted by the 2025 NHRA Youth & Education Services (YES) Program, a nationwide initiative designed to inspire students to explore rewarding careers in the automotive industry at no cost to participants.

The rains that fell across much of Texas last week were right on cue. It always seems to rain just before the opener of dove season. The dove we have been watching coming to water each day suddenly have water to drink everywhere. That pond or stock tank we planned to hunt is probably void of birds coming in for their afternoon drink. But we live in Texas and will take our rain when we get it and be thankful, right?

The skies above Terrell will be buzzing with excitement on Saturday, September 13, as the Young Eagles Rally returns to the Terrell Municipal Airport. Beginning at 8 a.m. (weather permitting), this special event offers free airplane rides for kids ages 8 to 17.
