The Terrell Chamber of Commerce is inviting the community to join a group trip to Costa Rica, taking place November 2–10, 2026. Travelers will experience the country’s stunning rainforests, beautiful beaches, diverse wildlife, and welcoming culture on a guided adventure designed to highlight the very best of this tropical destination.

The Terrell Chamber of Commerce is preparing for its 44th annual auction, the community’s largest fundraising event of the year. This year’s theme, “Backroad Adventure…a camo and pearl affair,” promises an evening filled with entertainment, spirited bidding, and community celebration. The event will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at the same location as last year, 800 Airport Road, Terrell. Doors open at 5:00 p.m.

The Kaufman County District Attorney’s Office is deeply saddened to announce the passing of Donne, its longtime service dog, who died peacefully on Sept. 4, at the age of 12.

The BFTS Museum’s annual fundraiser – Monte Carlo Nite – is set for 7 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 20 at the Terrell Platinum Ford Showroom. Tickets are $100 per person and are available at the museum’s website www.bftsmuseum.org or via members of the board of directors.

Terra Nova, the 1,531acre community project located bear Griffith Road and County Road 245, would bring 3,400 single-family homes, 1,200 multi-family apartments and 261 fourplex-style units into Kaufman County, which is the second-fastest growing county in the United States.
