Rotary Club makes special cookie delivery

Rotary Club of Terrell delivered cookies made by its members, cups from Starbucks, courtesy of Starbucks of Terrell on Highway 34 and cookies donated by Terrell’s own Whisked Away to both the Terrell PD Dispatchers as well as the Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office dispatchers as part of a service project April 18. April 14-20 was declared Public Safety Communicators Week by Governor Greg Abbott. Pictured are dispatchers for Kaufman County, excited to be receiving their gifts. County hears of behavioral authority programs

ashlee@themonitor.net The North Texas Behavioral Authority (NTBHA) presented services and programs offered to the Kaufman County Commissioners during the April 23 meeting. NTBHA is a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) with partner organizations Child and Family Guidance Center, Homeward Bound, and Southern Area Behavioral Healthcare. NTBHA provides quality mental and behavioral health services for individuals, regardless of their ability to pay, place of residence and/or their experience of homelessness. NTBHA will waive or reduce fees for those experiencing financial hardship, according to equitable use of the sliding fee discount schedule provided by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission.

Lady Tigers wrap up season with big win

editor@terrelltribune.com The Terrell Lady Tigers softball team wrapped up their 2024 season with a huge shutout victory over the Lancaster Lady Tigers April 19. Terrell plated 15 runs in their 15-0 win over Lancaster on the road.

Hambric named State provisional qualifier

Terrell High School senior athlete Marquel Hambric has completed a decorated track and field career at Terrell High School. He is a State provisional qualifier placing third in high jump during the UIL 5A Region 2 track meet at The University of Texas Arlington.
