Oscar Meyer Wienermobile stops in Terrell

The Oscar Meyer Wienermobile made one of its three stops at the Brookshire’s in Terrell Nov. 16. The vehicle is traveling around the country and made stops at Terrell, Forney and Kaufman Wednesday morning and afternoon. It includes six seats and visitors were able to “relish” in its appearance.

If you drive down North Virginia street in the morning be-teacher, David Peña, riding his bike to work. Peña, who is lovingly referred to as “Coach” by his students, has taught PE for eight years and has been at JW Long for the past two.

Barrios take home November Yard of the Month

The home of Evangelina and Brenda Barrios at 146 Hamilton in Terrell was chosen as the Terrell Garden Club’s Yard of the Month for November 2023. This lovely landscape has a small magnolia tree with a special stone honoring the loss of Brenda’s young son, Aidlynn Sebastion Ruiz.

City of Terrell takes win over Terrell State Hospital

The City of Terrell City Slickers team won the first annual co-ed flag football game Nov. 15 at Tiger Stadium between the City of Terrell and Terrell State Hospital Tigers, 25-13. Those that attended the event got into the gates with an unwrapped toy to be given to children in the community this Christmas.
