Julius Thomas “J.T.” Martin, 96, husband of DeLois Maudina Roper Martin, passed away Tuesday, December 17, 2024.

A native of Kaufman County, he was a son of the late Thomas J. and Mary Emaline Cates Martin. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran, a retired employee of JB Johnson Real Estate and a member of Motlow Creek Baptist Church where he served as a former deacon. Mr. Martin was a member of the Baily Lodge #146, the Kiwanis Club and was a Gideon.

Surviving in addition to his wife are a son, Kenneth N. Martin (Kim) of Ft. Smith, AR; a daughter, Gena Krawcheck (Randall) of Cincinnati, OH; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a son, John T. Martin and three brothers, James A. Martin, Billy Mac Martin, and Kenneth G. Martin.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, December 21, 2024, at Motlow Creek Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Terry Rainey, Rev. Daniel Messer, and Rev. Tim Smart. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be held 1:00-1:45 p.m. Saturday, December 21, 2024, at Motlow Creek Baptist Church.
