Terrell ISD announces ‘Boys to Men’ breakfast

editor@terrelltribune.com Terrell ISD is hosting their Third Annual “Boys to Men” Breakfast on Thursday, March 12 at the Terrell Ex-CEL Center. The Boys to Men breakfast is designed to bring together 200 men from the Terrell community to have breakfast and fellowship with Terrell’s sixth-grade scholars.

Teddy Bear repair shop returns to TVCC

editor@terrelltribune.com The TVCC Health Science Center in Terrell is hosting their third annual Teddy Bear Repair Shop on Valentine’s Day. A fun event for the community, the repair shop invites children to bring their favorite stuffed animals for a special check-up with the Health Occupation students.

Local Terrell students recognized at FWSSR

Carson McCreary, a 4-H member of Kaufman County 4-H from Terrell, was awarded a $500 Calf Scramble purchase certificate at the 2026 Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo. During each of the Stock Show’s 23 rodeo performances, 20 students compete to catch one of 10 calves for the opportunity to earn a $500 heifer purchase certificate. Students who successfully complete the Calf Scramble and exhibit their heifer at the 2027 Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo are then eligible to compete for scholarships ranging from $500 to $16,000.

Tee It Up for Kids raises money for The Center

Members of the Cedar Creek Country Club Women’s Golf Association (WGA) gathered to present the proceeds from the 2025 Tee It Up for Kids golf tournament to the Children’s Advocacy Center’s board President, Randy Squibb, and the Center’s Executive Director, Shannon Gardner on Sunday, Feb. 1.
