The back-to-school season can bring excitement for young people, but for youth in foster care, starting a new school year can feel scary and uncertain. Children enter foster care not because of any fault of their own, but because their families are in crisis.

The City of Terrell, in partnership with The Terrell Chamber of Commerce, will host the second annual Terrell Mural Walk on Sept. 16, 2023.

Donating blood can help many patients in many ways. High school student Amari Lemon is one Texan whose life has been changed by the compassion of Lone Star blood donors.

Blood donors are lifesavers for local patients who need transfusions. This includes children fighting cancer, mothers going through difficult childbirths, family members who require surgery, and grandparents with health issues, among many others in need.

Alexa Toy of Terrell was named to the Abilene Christian University Spring 2023 Dean’s Honor Roll. Toy is a junior majoring in Nursing.

Sassy Sistas Grandmothers Club has announced that it will host its fourth annual Bunco Fundraiser Aug. 26, with all funds raised going towards Childhood Cancer Research benefitting CURE.
