Grass fire risk remains high locally

Area fire departments have been kept busy in recent weeks, responding to multiple grass fires in and around the Terrell community. The Terrell Volunteer Fire Department provided updates on two recent fires via social media, noting in a Sept.

A recent rise in calls related to grass fires has resulted in departments across East Texas issuing reminders about safe burning practices.
