NEW ENGINE

The Elmo Fire Department held a special ceremony to unveil and dedicate its newest apparatus, a custom-built fire engine, in front of department and community members Feb. 19. Officials with the department noted, “We are very proud of this custom-built engine, as it is the first new engine for our departmen t in 15 years. We also dedicated this engine in memory of Billy Wynn. He played a huge role in the development of Elmo Fire Department from day one. He was a valuable member of the community, and we will honor him every time this engine pulls out of the station.” Courtesy photos

Hulsey Public Library and The Center are hosting a free income tax preparation event each Monday (excluding March 14) from 6-7:30 p.m. at the Hulsey Public Library’s Community Room located at 301 N.
