After a highly successful restart in September for live and in-person performances, the E! Terrell Entertainment Series is bringing Jason Petty to the Jamie Foxx Performing Art Center at 7:30 pm on Thursday, October 7, 2021. Hailed by critics as one of the best Hank Williams impersonators on the scene today, Petty will showcase his hit show, Hank & My Honky Tonk Heroes at E! Terrell’s second performance for its 2021-2022 season of community concerts.

Sept. 25-26: St. Martin Community Carnival at 9470 CR 213 in Forney. Saturday’s events sale will take place from 11 a.m. – 9 p.m., and Sunday’s events will be from noon – 5 p.m. All are welcome.

On Sept. 7, the Texas Veterans Commission’s (TVC) Fund for Veterans’ Assistance (FVA) presented over $7.6 million in grants to 27 organizations in North Texas for providing services to over 4,000 veterans. Due to the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department’s efforts to continue surveillance of Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD), which was recently detected along the Hunt/Kaufman County line, a North Texas CWD Zone was created.

The Terrell Lady Tigers hit the court twice last week, looking to jumpstart their run through District 13-4A play with matches against the Sunnyvale Lady Raiders and Ford Lady Panthers. Terrell would come up short in both matches, seeing their district record drop to 0-4 on the season with time winding down on the season.

The Terrell Tigers put the finishing touches on non-district play last week, playing host to perennial playoff contender Aubrey Sept. 17.

Motorcyclists will arrive at the No. 1 British Flying Training School Museum located at 119 Silent Wings Boulevard for a brief stop at 10:30 a.m.
