Grief is a difficult emotion, especially when those around you are in happy and celebrating. After the loss of a loved one our grief can be even more intense. During the Christmas season that lost can be felt deeper than before.

The E! Terrell Entertainment Series is bringing a “Music City Christmas” celebration to the Jamie Foxx Performing Arts Center for an enjoyable evening of yuletide holiday favorites on Thursday evening, Dec. 16.

On Nov. 11, the talents of high school writers from five different Kaufman County High Schools came to life through words as 32 students wrote about “What a Veteran is to Me.” The top three winners of the essay contest were announced at the Nov. 11 Veterans Day Ceremony at the Kaufman County Veterans Memorial Park, and their winning and moving essays were read aloud.
