Big catfish bite at Tawakoni

Body
My phone conversation with Lake Tawakoni catfish guide Tony Pennebaker went something like this: “Luke, I know you are all about catching these eater blues weighing between two and 10 pounds rather than specifically targeting trophy class fish, but you might just catch both on our upcoming trip, the fall bite has been very steady,” says Tony.

Truck collision in Poetry

Body
Nobody was seriously injured in this collision between a pickup and dump truck on Monday evening at FM 986 and FM 3486/CR 249 in Poetry. After initial reports of head-on collision came in to the Terrell Volunteer Fire Department, a CareFlite helicopter was placed on airborne standby. Miraculously, there were no injuries, so the helicopter was cancelled. TVFD units remained on scene for more than two hours while the dump truck was righted and the dirt removed from the road. The roadway was reopened at 6:53 p.m. (TVFD FACEBOOK)
