Bridge renamed to honor McNabb

Body The landmark two-mile bridge on Highway 276 was officially renamed the Staff Sergeant Shawn Henry McNabb Memorial Bridge, honoring the life and legacy of Terrell ISD graduate Shawn McNabb, during a special ceremony Jan. 15.

Court appoints Ayres as county fire marshal

Body The Kaufman County Commissioners Court kept things short and sweet this week, meeting for less than 30 minutes in open session on Tuesday morning while taking on an agenda that included equipment purchases and the appointment of a new Kaufman County Fire Marshal.
