Body Methodist Day School of Terrell celebrated Texas Independence Day on March 10, with a good old-fashioned Hoedown and Western Day. Texas Independence Day is March 2 and marks the day that Texas gained its independence from Mexico.

Track programs compete at Pirate Relays

Body Terrell track and field athletes competed in their final meet before spring break last week, traveling to Crandall to square off against five other programs at the annual Pirate Relays March 10.

Lifters face off at Regional Meets

Body Terrell powerlifters squared off against the area’s best in recent weeks as Lady Tiger lifters competed at the Class 4A Region 3 Division II Meet in Mabank March 4 and Tiger lifters competed in their Regional Meet at Arp March 11.

Tigers earn split in tournament play

Body The Terrell Tiger baseball program kept plenty busy prior to the start of spring break, hitting the field four times over a two-day span during tournament play March 10-11. Terrell would go 2-2 overall as they continued to inch their way closer to the start of district play.

Lady Tigers clinch district title

Body The Terrell Lady Tigers took care of business last week, wrapping up the program’s first-ever district title. Coach Joe Stephens noted, “Our Lady Tigers have dominated in district all year.

Body A celebration of life for Donna Lea Edmonds, 67, of Terrell, was held 2 p.m., Monday, March 14, 2022, at Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home in Wills Point. Donna Lea Lackie was born on May 7, 1954, in Amarillo, to parents Harold and Polly Lackie.
