Houston St. in Kaufman. Office of Veterans Services Director Robert Hunter served as the emcee for the memorial service, which was co-sponsored by the Friends of Kaufman County Veterans Park and the American Legion Post 165. The Vietnam Memorial Wall located in the park was dedicated 13 years ago in 2009 after it was retired from a tour across the nation. The wall was recently upgraded with lighting for people wanting to visit after sunset. The new lighting feature was unveiled at the Veterans’ Day Celebration on November 11, 2021. Also at that event, the MIA/POW Chair Monument was unveiled.
