Little relief in sight for local departments

Fire departments across the state continued to echo a familiar refrain last week, warning of dangerous drought conditions that could cause fires spiral out of control quickly. LAST SHIFT

Body
The Terrell Fire Department recognized one of its own last week, celebrating the work of Captain Cindy Main upon her last shift. In a post on the Terrell FD Facebook page, coworkers noted, “Captain Main has served our great citizens of Terrell for over 28 years. Captain Main started her career in the fire service with Terrell’s Volunteer Fire Department. She served Terrell as a volunteer until she was hired with the Terrell Fire Department in 1999. “As a member of the Terrell Fire Department, Cindy rose to the rank of Captain where she led, inspired, trained and grew the members under her command. We would love to see the citizens of Terrell join the department in saying Thank You to Cindy for her years of service.” Photos courtesy of the TFD Facebook page
