Senate reopens redistricting hearings

In order to ensure they are following the very letter of the state constitution, the chair of the Senate Redistricting Committee announced Wednesday that the panel is re-opening the process for the drawing of state Senate districts.

Annual Point-in-Time Homeless Count scheduled

A group of local organizations and individuals will hit the streets of Terrell in the coming weeks, conducting a Point-In-Time Count of the homeless persons living within the city. Often called a snapshot, the PIT Count is a count of both sheltered and unsheltered homeless persons on one day of the year.

Kaufman County Day set for Feb. 5-6

TISD student raising funds for mission trip

The Terrell ISD FFA program has generated plenty of headlines over the years, routinely winning top marks at contests around the state for their efforts in competitive formats while also helping to shape and instill in its students the skills to excel beyond the classroom setting.

2022 is now in our rearview mirror and nothing but great things are ahead for our 150 year old community! 2023 will usher in our sesquicentennial year. We’ve come a long way from the original hand-shake deal that created Terrell.
