Lady Tigers hang tough in district race

Soccer competes at Princeton Tourney

The Terrell Tiger soccer team got its first taste of tournament play last week, squaring off against some of the area’s top programs at the Princeton Tournament. Terrell would be competitive throughout the two-day event, going 1-1-2 overall in matches with Frisco Independence, Princeton, Tyler and Wylie.

Gas prices show slight increase

Average gasoline prices in Texas have risen 0.6 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $2.83/g Jan. 9, according to GasBuddy’s survey of 13,114 stations in Texas. Prices in Texas are 14.6 cents per gallon higher than a month ago and stand 3.4 cents per gallon lower than a year ago. The national average price of diesel has fallen 2.1 cents in the last week and stands at $4.64 per gallon.
