Registration open for Chamber’s annual clay shoot

The Terrell Chamber of Commerce is hosting their annual Clay Shoot March 10 from 11:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. at Texas Gun Ranch in Terrell. The Terrell Chamber is a non-profit organization and all funds raised go back into supporting local businesses and the community through scholarships and events.

1943-2023 Sarah Catherine Coffman (formerly Champion) passed away in Baytown, Texas on February 13, 2023 at age 79 of complications from a brain tumor. She was born in Charleston, West Virginia on October 15, 1943 to Carl James Coffman and Carrie Wilma Brotherton Coffman.

1963-2023 He is survived by his mother Mary, a sister Johnny Darlene Smith, two daughters Amanda Hernandez and husband Shawn, Lynn holly Martin and her husband Jared, five grandchildren Joshua, Alexander, Houston, Samuel, and Carter. Leland (Wes) was an Army Veteran with a loving heart.

Local youth scrambles to win at Ft. Worth Stock Show

Marysol Banales, a member of Terrell FFA, caught a calf during the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo’s Calf Scramble Jan. 27, earning a $500 purchase certificate for a show heifer and the chance for up to $16,000 in scholarship awards.
Marysol Banales won a $500 purchase certificate toward a beef or dairy heifer for a 4-H or FFA project for exhibition at next year’s Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo. Filing deadline looms large for TISD, city

DAVID KAPITAN editor@terrelltribune.com The likelihood of a May 6 election increased dramatically over the past week with a new round of filers throwing their name into the ring for a spot on the Terrell City Council or Terrell ISD Board of Trustees. Positions slated to be up for election during the May 2023 cycle will include two places on the Terrell City Council and three places on the Terrell ISD Board of Trustees.
