City receives pushback on annexation efforts

Body
The City of Terrell took a sizeable step forward in its efforts to annex more than 7,000 acres of land March 20, hosting two public hearings at the Jamie Foxx Performing Arts Center to hear the thoughts and concerns of property owners that would be directly affected by the effort.
The Terrell City Council is scheduled to vote on annexations that will incorporate approximately 11.4 square miles of land into the city. City leaders have cited the need to manage growth and development as the primary cause of the effort while some affected landowners countered that the move was being done to increase tax revenues for the city. Please steal my Tupperware

Body
A few months ago, I introduced readers to a new addition in our household – a “pretend” breed called a “Teddy Bear”, a Shih Tzu/ Bijon mix. I called her “Fluffbucket” – my wife called her “Milly”. She was really just a tiny puppy body swaddled in lots of soft, white fur. She quickly took over my wife’s lap, and began chewing everything she could get her mouth around – socks, flip-flops, shoes, chair legs…and my plastic containers.
