REACH Child Placing Agency will host their 4thAnnual Casino Night on Friday, March 24 at The Establishment Barn in Terrell, Texas. REACH is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that serves and cares for abused and/or neglected children in crisis in Kaufman County.

Vehicle strikes Forney restaurant

Information courtesy of Forney Police Department On Sunday, March 12, at approximately 7:04 p.m., the Forney Police Department Communications Center received calls of an accident in the 700 block of East US Highway 80 involving a vehicle and a building. Forney Police and emergency medical services responded to Tokyo Harbor restaurant where a vehicle had crashed into the building causing multiple injuries.

Powerlifting program makes massive gains

Four years ago if you walked into the Terrell High School weightlifting room, you would find one female powerlifter among the male powerlifters. Thanks to the leadership of Coach Albert Martinez, 21 female athletes have now added “powerlifter” to their athletic resume.
The Terrell powerlifting program has seen a sharp increase in female participants over the past four years, going from one to more than 20 this season. Soccer programs keep busy in district play

The Terrell Tiger soccer program hit the homestretch of its season over the past week, tangling with Corsicana and Forney in District 14-5A matches. Terrell would go 0-1-1 for the week, running their overall record to 7-7-4 on the season.
The Terrell Tigers and Lady Tigers continued to make their way through the later stages of district play last week, hitting the field for matches against both Corsicana and Forney. The two teams would combine to go 0-3-1 overall. Courtesy photo
