The city of Forney is in the top 10 of the fastest growing cities in the country, according to new data from the U.S. Census Bureau.

May 18: Jake E’s Riders will celebrate the hard work of their amazing riders Saturday, May 18 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at 10626 FM 429 in Kaufman.

Special Olympic athletes received their letterman jackets at the End of the Year Celebration. All Special Olympic athletes look forward to this event at Film Alley every year where they enjoy bowling, the arcade and pizza.

It was a fun-filled day for our Terrell ISD Life Skills and medically fragile students May 15. It was the first-ever ExCEL+ Field Day, funded by the Terrell ISD Excellence Foundation. Volunteers from the American National Bank of Texas in Terrell came to support. Additional photo on 8A.

Trinity Valley Community College has grown into the home of champions. Whether it’s celebrating the TVCC Cardettes winning the National Open Pom Division, the Large Coed Cheer team placing first, or Student Government Association being named Chapter of the Year for the 17th time in the program’s history, TVCC is consistently celebrating its students.

Trinity Valley Community College’s Terrell-Health Science Center celebrates the heroes of the medical field during the Pinning Ceremony for the Associate Degree of Nursing (ADN) Class of 2024 on May 6 at the Jamie Foxx Performing Arts Center in Terrell.

Mere feet from speeding traffic across our state, thousands of Texas law enforcement personnel, first responders and roadside workers are often separated from fast-moving vehicles by only stripes, cones or barrels. Tragically, many of these officers and workers are killed in crashes every year on the job, which is why Tx-DOT’s “Be Safe. Drive Smart” campaign is calling on Texas drivers to keep roadside workers safe by remembering to “Move Over or Slow Down.”

May is Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month. With this in mind, TxDOT is launching its “Share the Road: Look Twice for Motorcycles” campaign today and reminding drivers to remain alert and watch carefully for motorcycles on Texas roadways.
