TVEC has generously awarded a $2,000 grant to the Riter C. Hulsey Public Library. This grant will play a crucial role in supporting the library’s mission to serve the community as a vital cultural and educational resource.

7ers run ends in Conference Finals

editor@terrelltribune.com The Texas 7ers’ season came to an end in the Central Conference Finals after being swept by the Potawatomi Fire in their best-ofthree series. The Fire’s explosive offense was on full display for Game 1 and 2 as they put up a combined 285 points in their sweep of the 7ers.

Small Business Administration offering storm assistance

The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) is offering loan and other assistance to Texas businesses located in areas impacted by severe weather that began on April 26, 2024. Attached to this email are SBA information and fact sheets that can be shared with your local business community and chambers of commerce, and that can be posted on your website and social media pages. In addition, businesses impacted by the severe weather can contact the SBA at disastercustomerservice@sba.gov or (800) 659-2955 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday for assistance and questions.

HOGS CLOSE TO HOME

I saw the first signs a few weeks ago while walking across the couple of acres that serve as our ‘front lawn.’ I do keep try my best to keep the varied species of grasses and weeds some might call a lawn under control, but it’s been a real challenge lately with all the wet weather. I noticed where the ground had been disturbed and instantly knew a sounder of hogs from the nearby woods had invaded our neighborhood.

Kaufman County Street Crimes Task Force seizes Fentanyl pills from Forney residence

On June 4, 2024, the Kaufman County Street Crimes Task Force received information that an individual was possibly in possession and/or selling illegal dangerous drugs out of a residence in Forney. The Kaufman County Street Crimes Task Force took immediate action to prevent the dangerous drugs from falling into the hands of children and unsuspecting victims within our community.
