Volunteer celebrates 15 years with Lone Star CASA

This past September, Doug Pritchard marked an incredible 15 years as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) with Lone Star CASA. Appointed by judges, CASA volunteers are critical in advocating for the safety and stability of children who have experienced abuse and neglect in court. Throughout his life and career, Doug has passionately advocated for children in need.

Hall of Fame, Hall of Honor inductees released

Terrell ISD is proud to announce the Class of 2024 Hall of Fame and Honor inductees. The individuals selected for the Hall of Fame are recognized based on their athletic achievements, character, and overall contribution to the Terrell Independent School District. This year's honorees are: Judy Jones, Roderick Kennedy and Darryl Malone.

Some of my most fond childhood memories revolve around squirrel hunting and the great meals my mother prepared after a successful hunt. I remember way back in about 1958 when I was an 8-year-old whippersnapper making what was to be the luckiest shot of my life.
