SBA Economic Injury Disaster Loans available to Texas small businesses

Small nonfarm businesses in 194 Texas counties and neighboring counties in New Mexico and Oklahoma are now eligible to apply for lowinterest federal disaster loans from the U.S. Small Business Administration, announced Director Tanya N. Garfield of SBA’s Disaster Field Operations Center-West. These loans offset economic losses because of reduced revenues caused by excessive heat in the following primary counties that occurred May 1 - Sept. 30, 2022.

Gas, diesel prices on upward trend

Average gasoline prices in Texas have risen 10.9 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $3.01/g Jan. 23, according to GasBuddy's survey of 13,114 stations in Texas. Prices in Texas are 41.6 cents per gallon higher than a month ago and stand 2.7 cents per gallon higher than a year ago. The national average price of diesel has risen 2.6 cents in the last week and stands at $4.60 per gallon.
