Body
The Terrell City Council on Tuesday signed off on issuing new short- and long-term debt as it looks to make investments in everything from water meters to streets to improved lighting at city parks. The council authorized the issuance of $6.575 million in 10-year certificate of obligation bonds, which will fund $1 million for the acquisition of improved radios and police surveillance equipment, $2 million for repaving streets, and $3.5 million to purchase a new generation of water meters that can be read remotely.
