The Terrell Independent School District has hired Adam Toy as its new high school principal for the 2021-2022 school year. Toy joins the district from Carrollton Farmers Branch ISD, where he has served as the principal for DeWitt Perry Middle School since 2017.

Mayor Rick Carmona proclaimed Tuesday, May 11 as City of Terrell Police Officer Recognition Day and called upon citizens to thank the city’s men and women in blue. A Spring Festival will take place Saturday, May 15, at Camp Ground Church in Poetry. Come hungry and enjoy a pancake breakfast from 8:30 a.m.

Almost everyone has exclaimed: “If I were mayor, governor, president, etc., I’d do …” Well Bill Huthmacher, board president of the No. 1 British Flying Training School Museum, got that chance on April 27 when he became Mayor for a Day of the City of Terrell. He purchased this honor during the Terrell Chamber of Commerce’s Civic Auction last year.

Folks flocked by the hundreds to the Terrell Kiwanis Club’s annual Pancake Day festivities at the Rockwall and Brin Church of Christ fellowship hall Tuesday. Proceeds from Pancake Day will be used to help fulfill the Kiwanis Club’s mission of helping children locally and across the globe.
