editor@terrelltribune.com The Rotary Club of Terrell is set to host a Back to School party for Terrell ISD teachers on Thursday, July 31 at Film Alley. The Back to School party at Film Alley is a bowling fundraiser that will help stock the store for local teachers for the upcoming school year.

Honorable Judge Brett Hall officially swore in nine new volunteers during a ceremony held at the Rockwall County Courthouse on July 2. Lone Star CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) is proud to welcome the newest CASA volunteers to serve children who have experienced abuse and neglect in Kaufman and Rockwall Counties.

The City of Terrell hosted the Annual TFA Primetimers Pie Contest. The winners of this year’s contest were Athan Thompson and Anna Moeckel. Judges for the contest were Terrell Police Chief Arley Sansom, Terrell Fire Chief Shane LeCroy, Terrell Chamber of Commerce President Angie Cooper and João Pacheco Peres, who is visiting Terrell from Brazil.
