Crow convicted of two counts of Indecency with a Child by Sexual Contact

District Attorney Erleigh Norville Wiley announced today that 65-year-old Randy Doyle Crow of Kaufman, has been sentenced to 20 years in the Texas penitentiary for the offense of Indecency with a Child by Sexual Contact after a week-long trial before Honorable Judge Casey Blair in the 86th District Court of Kaufman County. Judge Blair granted the State’s motion to stack the sentences after a Kaufman County jury found Crow guilty of two counts of Indecency with a Child by Sexual Contact and assessed punishment for the two counts at 16 years and 4 years, respectively.

Boat capsizes, two children die

ashlee@themonitor.net A boat carrying 10 adults and two children capsized in the Heatherwoods subdivision of Cedar Creek Lake around 10 p.m. June 22 Tool Volunteer Fire Department Lt. Randall Newkirk told The Monitor that the boat lost power, was pushed around by the waves and capsized after a large wave pushed the boat over.

For decades at Lake Tawakoni, the ‘trophy’ blue catfish season began with the first cooling north winds in October and ended with the spring warm up. Fall and winter were the designated time to go hunting for a giant blue catfish.
