Homestead Day is an opportunity to gather together and teach the public about anything that has to do with homesteading, farming, and gardening.

City of Terrell Public Information Officer The City of Terrell received a 2021 North Central Texas Council of Government Incident Management – Freeway Blocking Equipment Grant. This grant was awarded for the purchase of a new Truck Mounted Attenuator Unit that will be utilized to protect first responders as they work incidents on roadways.

Trinity Valley Community College Art Department is excited to announce the third call for the High School Art Show. The goal is to encourage students to pursue further studies beyond high school and familiarize them with a local college campus. The show will be in a digital format and two $2,000 scholarships will be awarded. Scholarships will be applied for four semesters of tuition and fees in a studio course. Each student may submit up to three images completed in the student’s senior year. Submissions can be emailed to Art Department Coordinator and Professor of Studio Art September Kirk at September.kirk@tvcc.edu by Monday, April 1. Winners will be announced at the opening of the TVCC Student Art Show on April 23.

The City of Terrell is set to begin their mosquito spraying schedule in mid-April through mid-September. Spraying will begin Tuesday, April 16 and Wednesday, April 17.
