TISD student raising funds for mission trip

Body The Terrell ISD FFA program has generated plenty of headlines over the years, routinely winning top marks at contests around the state for their efforts in competitive formats while also helping to shape and instill in its students the skills to excel beyond the classroom setting.

Kaufman County Day set for Feb. 5-6

Body VP of Operations, Terrell Chamber of Commerce The Kaufman County Leadership Council will be taking a trip to Austin once again to meet with state leaders about issues affecting Kaufman County citizens.

Charity fundraiser, concert set for Shofner

Body The Barbara Leatherwood Fight for the Cure has announced that it will be hosting a charity auction to raise funds for Kim Shofner on Jan. 14 at 5 p.m. at the Fairfield Marriot Ballroom located at 351 Market Center Drive in Terrell.

Refinery issues lead to higher gas prices

Body Average gasoline prices in Texas have risen 21.7 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $2.82/g Jan. 2, according to GasBuddy’s survey of 13,114 stations in Texas. Prices in Texas are 8.4 cents per gallon higher than a month ago and stand 5.
