Kaufman County discovered a security breach Oct. 20 affecting certain county systems, according to a Kaufman County press release. The county determined the breach began Oct. 17. The county has determined that some sensitive personal information was breached.

Council approves library card charge for non-resident patrons

City Of Terrell Public Information Officer For the first time in Hulsey Public Library’s history, non-resident patrons will be charged for library cards, effective Nov. 10. Kaufman County residents will pay $30 annually and residents outside of the county will be charged $50. Library cards also will remain free for City of Terrell and TISD employees. Cards are also free for students 16 and under.

Tractor Supply donates to local hometown heroes

Terrell Tractor Supply’s check presentation to the Terrell Fire Department in honor of National Hometown Heroes Day on Nov. 1. Tractor Supply celebrated National Hometown Heroes Day on Nov. 1 across all of its 2,300+ stores nationwide, and each store donated $500 to a local police, fire or veteran organization, totaling more than $1 million in a single day. In Texas, 249 Tractor Supply stores donated $124,500 to 352 local organizations.
