What do you enjoy most, hunting or fishing?

I’ve often been asked what I like best, hunting or fishing? I have often pondered that question and have finally come to realize whether I’m engaged in tug-of-war with a big catfish or striper, running a trot line, fishing a creek for spawning white bass or settling my sights on a wild hog with intentions of putting the meat on my smoker, I like most what I’m engaged in at the moment!

Suspect shot after police chase in Kaufman County

editor@terrelltribune.com A suspect was shot after a traffic stop by police in Kaufman County early Tuesday, Feb. 4 On Tuesday morning at around 6:30 a.m., a sheriff’s deputy for the Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office (KSCO) attempted to pull over a vehicle for a traffic stop, but the suspect didn’t stop, which escalated to a vehicle pursuit according to KSCO.

Local fundraiser benefits the American Tinnitus Association

On Monday, Feb. 3, Bubba’s 33 and Texas Roadhouse locations across Dallas and Fort Worth, including Terrell, invited the public to a fundraiser to support the American Tinnitus Association (ATA). To honor the company’s late founder, Kent Taylor, the restaurants donated 100 percent of all dine-in and to-go profits on Feb. 3 to the organization. More than 26 million adults in the United States battle tinnitus.

Four-part dementia workshop offered

A four-part workshop is being offered in Terrell, aimed at enhancing dementia care through hands-on training and proven techniques. Led by certified dementia care professional Isabel Maria, the workshop is designed to equip caregivers with the skills needed to create a positive, supportive environment for those living with dementia, while also promoting self-care for the caregivers themselves.

Terrell PD swears in newest officers

Terrell Police Department swore in their newest officers, Joseph Ceja and Seth Harrington, on Tuesday, Jan. 21. Both Officer Ceja and Harrington graduated the North Central Texas Council of Government Regional Police Academy, Class # 302, earlier on Tuesday morning.
