I’ve often been asked what I like best, hunting or fishing? editor@terrelltribune.com A suspect was shot after a traffic stop by police in Kaufman County early Tuesday, Feb. 4 On Tuesday morning at around 6:30 a.m., a sheriff’s deputy for the Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office (KSCO) attempted to pull over a vehicle for a traffic stop, but the suspect didn’t stop, which escalated to a vehicle pursuit according to KSCO.

REACH Child Placing Agency (REACH) will host their Sixth Annual Casino Night on Friday, March 21 at The Establishment Barn in Terrell. REACH is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that serves and cares for abused and/or neglected children in crisis in Kaufman County.

A four-part workshop is being offered in Terrell, aimed at enhancing dementia care through hands-on training and proven techniques. Led by certified dementia care professional Isabel Maria, the workshop is designed to equip caregivers with the skills needed to create a positive, supportive environment for those living with dementia, while also promoting self-care for the caregivers themselves.

Terrell Police Department swore in their newest officers, Joseph Ceja and Seth Harrington, on Tuesday, Jan. 21. Both Officer Ceja and Harrington graduated the North Central Texas Council of Government Regional Police Academy, Class # 302, earlier on Tuesday morning.
