Soccer programs open district play

editor@terrelltribune.com The Terrell soccer program hit its most important stretch of the season last week, tangling with a pair of Crandall teams to open this year’s district slate. Terrell would ultimately come away with a split against Crandall as the Tigers earned a 1-0 victory while the Lady Tigers dropped a 2-1 heartbreaker.

Lady Tigers closing in on playoffs

The Terrell Lady Tigers hit the court just once last week due to the inclement weather, taking on the Crandall Lady Pirates Jan. 27. The two teams had met once before during the first round of district with the Lady Pirates pulling out a hardfought 44-39 win in Terrell Jan.

Soccer program nets gold at home event

The Terrell Tiger and Lady Tigers soccer program were able to enjoy the comforts of home last week, welcoming some of the top programs from across the area to Memorial Stadium for the annual Winter Classic Tournament.

Tigers to begin round two of district play

The Terrell Tigers reached the homestretch of the regular season last week, tangling with Lancaster in both school’s final game of the first round of the district calendar. Lancaster would ride a dominant first quarter to a lopsided victory, downing Terrell 76-36.

With the close of whitetail muzzleloader season this past weekend, deer season is officially closed with the exception of some ranches managed by Texas Parks and Wildlife where deer can be hunted through February.

Rabbits race past Tigers, 73-45

The Terrell Tigers had their hands full this week, playing host to a Forney team that has suffered just three setbacks during the 2022-’23 season. Forney would go on to live up to its pre-game billing against the Tigers, getting off to a fast start and never looking back in an eventual 73-45 win.
