ABHP pays homage to Loretta Hickmon

TxDOT urges Texans to find a sober ride this holiday season

Six years have passed since a drunk driver killed Azeza Salama’s fiancé and sent her and her two children to the hospital, but her memories of the crash remain as vivid as the day it happened. After an absence of two years due to COVID-19, the Social Science Club of Terrell once again presents the “Christmas in a Small Town” Tour of Homes. This year it will occur on December 3 from 2-7 p.m. and will include five beautiful homes, three of which have never been on tour.

The holidays came early last week as the Terrell ISD Excellence Foundation delivered grant awards totaling $170,753 to Terrell ISD staff and students. The Excellence Foundation was founded in 2008 with a mission statement of encouraging excellence in education and seeking and distributing funds to support effective programs and initiatives to further enhance learning for public school students in the Terrell community.

Ribbon cutting held for new Justice Center

On Thursday, November 17, Kaufman County celebrated the completion of the new 98,000 square foot Justice Center on Highway 175 with a Ribbon Cutting ceremony and Open House. The event was full of excitement and grandeur as Kemp High School and Terrell High School played major roles in the ceremony.
