Body Kaufman County Commissioners unanimously passed a resolution Aug. 17 in court supporting local control relating to the COVID-19 pandemic safety measures and will continue to encourage all residents to get vaccinated.

Body The number of Texans hospitalized with lab-confirmed COVID-19 cases is increasing faster than at any other point since the pandemic began in early 2020, due to the highly contagious delta variant.
