- To end World War II, the first of several unconditional surrender documents were signed by German commanders in various theaters of Europe. On April 29, 1945, in Allied Field Head Quarters in Caserta, Italy, a representative of SS Obergruppenfuhrer Karl Wolff surrendered nearly a million men that included the remnants of 22 German and six Italian-Fascist Divisions in Italy and western Austria.

Skelton honored with band hall renaming

Terrell ISD honored Dana Skelton with the renaming of the Terrell High School Band Hall in recognition of his accomplishments and impact on Friday, March 21. Skelton dedicated 42 years to Terrell ISD, serving as the Terrell High School Band Director, Performing Arts Center Manager and Terrell ISD Excellence Foundation liaison.

City Manager releases statement regarding Financial Services Report

Terrell City Manager Mike Sims released the following statement today regarding the city’s recent work with the TML City Financial Services. “As the city manager, I identified concerns in January which prompted me to take action by engaging a third party to conduct an unbiased assessment of the Finance Department. For this assessment, I se- lected the Texas Municipal League City Financial Services team which provides on-site reviews of finance operations in cities throughout the State. TVCC confirms Measles exposure on Terrell Campus

Trinity Valley Community College (TVCC) has confirmed a potential measles exposure on the Terrell Campus. On April 1, 2025, a TVCC student reported to administration that they had been exposed to a confirmed case of measles.
