Christmas Parade cancelled in honor of Officer Candanoza

The Terrell Chamber of Commerce, in agreement with parade partners, the City of Terrell and Terrell ISD, has made the difficult decision to cancel the 2024 Stanley Ballard Sr. Christmas Parade. This decision comes out of deep support and respect for the family of Officer Jacob Candanoza, the Terrell Police Department, and the first responder community.

Terrell K-9 Max passes away after illness

editor@terrelltribune.com The Terrell Police Department is mourning the loss of their K-9 Max after an illness on Sunday, Dec. 8 After further medical evaluation and examinations, it was determined that Max was suffering from an illness that was not survivable.

I absolutely love spending time in the woods in pursuit of deer and hogs this time of year but many years ago, I learned that what I refer to as ‘the dead of winter’ is prime time for not only catching lots of fish but, big ones as well.
