In an effort to ensure the emergency preparedness of all the schools in the region, the North Central Texas 9-1-1 service agency recently recognized the Kaufman County Emergency Management Office for being ahead of the curve by providing them with 2D floorplans of every public school inside the County.

The National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association (NARFE), Chapter 1191, will hold its monthly meeting in Waxahachie at the Asian King Buffet at 507 N. Hwy 77, Suite 950, in the Northgate Plaza Shopping Center, across Hwy 77 from Whataburger, on Oct. 12 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.

Terrell Entertainment Series is bringing Jason Petty to the Jamie Foxx Performing Art Center at 7:30 pm on Thursday, October 7, 2021. Hailed by critics as one of the best Hank Williams impersonators on the scene today, Petty will showcase his hit show, Hank & My Honky Tonk Heroes at E! Terrell’s second performance for its 2021-2022 season of community concerts.
