Schleter named as W.H. Burnett principal

Body Terrell Independent School District is excited to announce Jodi Schleter as the new W.H. Burnett Early Childhood Center Principal. Schleter has been serving as the W.H. Burnett Assistant Principal since May 2021.

Council OKs TPD salary increase

Body Terrell City Council on Tuesday voted to approve an increase in pay for entry level through captain ranks of Terrell Police officers, effective Jan 1, 2022.

City of Terrell offering Pfizer boosters

Body The City of Terrell is now offering Pfizer booster shots for adults 18 and older in certain groups who have received two doses of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine. The booster shots are available from 8 a.m. to noon Wednesdays at the Terrell Municipal Airport, 400 E. BFTS Blvd.

Body The THS Cross Country team had an outstanding weekend at the District 12-4A Meet, qualifying multiple runners for the Regional Cross Country Meet. The boys team made Terrell High School history by finishing second overall.

Body Dr. Jerome McAllister passed away on Oct. 6, 2021.  He was born on April 21, 1932 and was a wonderful father and a loving husband to his wife Martha for over 63 years.

Body Terrell city leaders had plenty to celebrate this week with officials from the Texas State Comptroller’s Office announcing sizeable gains in sales tax revenues locally when comparing October 2021 totals against those from October 2020.
