Cotton helped put Terrell on the map

Cotton was king in Terrell at one point in its development but new growth is coming, declared Dr. Don Frazier, historian and head of the Texas Center at Shreiner University in Kerrville. His May 18 remarks at the No. 1 British Flying Training School Museum were co-sponsored with the Terrell Heritage Society and part of the City of Terrell’s Sesquicentennial celebration.

Hal Richards spoke at the May 18 Terrell Rotary Club meeting about the Arsenal of Democracy, a phrase coined by former president Franklin D Roosevelt during World War II. Rotarians learned about B24 bomber jets, designed by Consolidated Aircraft and later produced by Ford. The Terrell High School Class of 2023, led by Valedictorian Dalia Alonso and Salutatorian Vanessa Rodriguez, will make the transition from high school seniors to high school graduates during commencement exercises to be held at Memorial Stadium beginning at 7:30 p.m. Friday, May 26.
Terrell High School recently announced the Class of 2023 Top Ten students! This group of academic scholars is made up of all girls and they are truly #SquadGoals. City council runoff election set for June 10
