The son of a British cadet who learned to fly in Terrell in 1943 will be the Nov. 13 speaker at the BFTS Museum in Terrell. Graham A. D. Broyd, a retired British-American banker is the author of a recently published book, “Backpack, Jacket, Surfboard: My Journey Across America, Then and Now” tells the story of Graham’s hitchhiking journey across America back in 1980 and his revisit of that same trip in 2024.

Representing the Terrell Health Science Center as Queen, Emma Lopez Acosta is a sophomore nursing major from Kemp and a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. Representing the HSC as King, Caii Finley is a Forney High School graduate pursuing a degree in nursing. Although unable to attend, he is celebrated for his leadership and dedication to the program.
