The Terrell Tigers returned to the court following the Thanksgiving holiday this week, making the short trek to Mesquite to tangle with North Mesquite Stallions in a non-district showdown. Terrell would come up short in the contest, falling behind in the second quarter and never recovering in a 51-39 setback to the 6A Stallions.

The Texas State Comptroller’s Office delivered welcome news to Kaufman County officials and city leaders last week, announcing that nine out of 13 local cities had seen sales tax revenue gains when comparing against the same calendar month from the previous year.
