Events also feature a silent auction and a raffle for a Browning 725 Sporting, 20 gauge over/under shotgun.

Commercial driver convicted of DWI

Kaufman County District Attorney Erleigh Norville Wiley announced on Tuesday, the conviction of Gerald Lowrey, 61, for driving while intoxicated. On August 11, 2021, following a one-day trial before the Honorable Tracy Gray in the County Court at Law of Kaufman County, a jury found Lowrey guilty.

Sales tax revenues climb 32 percent

The city of Terrell set the pace for Kaufman County in the month of August according to the Texas State Comptroller’s Office, seeing collections climb $413,721.12 when comparing against the same calendar month from the previous year.
