The Big Texas Rally for Recovery held their 13th outing Saturday, Sept. 9 in Dallas.

Rockwall & Kaufman, TX- North Texas Giving Day, the largest community- wide giving event in the region, is set to rally support and raise funds for non-profit organizations that are making a significant impact on the local community. Taking place on September 21, 2023, this annual event provides a unique opportunity for individuals, businesses, and foundations to come together and support the causes they care about.

Terrell Police made the following arrests and responded to the following incidents from September 8 to September 14. Arrests: Caleb Lamond Hill, Terrell, 17, striking unattended vehicle; fraud use/ possession of identification items of elderly; aggravated robbery Damien Damion Paul, Terrell, 30, no driver’s license; failure to maintain financial responsibility; parole violation Xavier Alexander Bucio, Mesquite, 35, possession of drug paraphernalia; operating motor vehicle with expired registration; speeding Kwiintiinaa Kimberly Williams, Terrell, 46, assault causing bodily injury (family member) Devon Brumley, Garland, 17, possession of drug paraphernalia Jetarious Brumley, Terrell, 17, possession of drug paraphernalia Joseph Lee Cooper, Terrell, 26, assault by contact (family violence) Kyle Patrick Cooper, Terrell, 40, assault by contact (family violence) La Tavius Elder, Forney, 17, theft of firearm; unlawful carrying of a weapon; possession of drug paraphernalia Tanyrious Emeory Baker, Forney, 19, unlawful carrying of a weapon; possession of drug paraphernalia Donovan King Meador, Terrell, 19, unlawful carrying of a weapon; resisting arrest Najee Rashad Mitchelltree, Terrell, 20, possession of drug paraphernalia Davonte M.

Members of the Terrell ISD staff, Texas Health Resources, Special Olympic students and visitors all take their first look at the new Tiger Mart established at Herman Furlough, Jr. Middle School during its ribbon cutting ceremony Sept. 14. The Tiger Mart provides students in need with mental health services and access to healthy foods with its unique grocery store right on campus.

On August 16 at the Kaufman County Courthouse, the Honorable Judge Tracy Gray officially swore in six new CASA volunteers. This marks the inaugural swearing- in ceremony for a class in Kaufman County.

Since moving offices into the Justice Center in Nov., Kaufman County officials have worked with architects on plans for the downtown courthouse’s renovation. Departments submitted final corrections to plans at the commissioners’ court meeting Sept.

A program that helps fight hunger with an in-school grocery store that allows students to make purchases with points earned for things like good behavior, is now in place at Herman Furlough, Jr. Middle School.
