Fivecoat appointed to TISD Board

At a special called meeting on Monday, August 22, the Terrell ISD Board of Trustees appointed Ashley Carmona Fivecoat as the new Trustee for Place 5. Fivecoat replaces Channy Ory, who announced her resignation earlier this year. The Board of Trustees accepted letters of interest for the open seat earlier in the year and three candidates were interviewed and considered for the position. Ms. Fivecoat graduated from Terrell High School in 1997 and attended Texas A&M University where she received her bachelor’s degree in journalism. Child recovered following high-speed chase

According to reports of the incident, officers were dispatched to the 400 block of Downs Street in Edgewood Aug.

Terrell ISD became a hive of activity last week with students returning to campus to start the 2022-’23 school. According to district officials, a record 5,055 students were enrolled in classes as of Aug. 17. In comparison, the district reported an enrollment total of 4,763 students on the fifth day of classes last year.
