PB&J kicks off food drive

Body The Kaufman County Clerk’s office, along with the County Court at Law 2 office kicked off the Kaufman Downtown Merchants’ annual “Peanut Butter and Jolly” food drive by donating 200 jars of peanut butter and jelly.

Time running out to take I-20 survey

Body As part of the statewide I-20 Texas Corridor Study, the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is requesting public input through an online survey through Dec. 10.

Parade volunteers needed

Body Volunteers are still needed to help out with the annual Stanley Ballard Sr. Christmas Parade in Terrell scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 11. Among other duties, volunteers are needed to man barricades, help check in floats, line up parade entries, and help out at parking lots.

Council approves opioid resolution

Body The Terrell City Council wrapped up a busy month of meetings with a final session Nov. 30, tackling an agenda heavy on administrative reports before approving a resolution related to an opioid settlement that could ultimately net the city additional funding.
