Uncertainty remains about gas prices

Average gasoline prices in Texas have fallen 9.4 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $3.26/g April 24, according to GasBuddy's survey of 13,114 stations in Texas. Prices in Texas are 19.6 cents per gallon higher than a month ago and stand 49.9 cents per gallon lower than a year ago. The national average price of diesel has fallen 3.0 cents in the last week and stands at $4.12 per gallon.

Music, carnival highlight busy weekend

Ben Gill/Lions Club will be the place to be this weekend as The Terrell Chamber of Commerce/CVB will host its signature spring event, the Jubilee from April 20-23. The Terrell Jubilee features fun for the whole family with a state championship BBQ cook-off, 5K walk/run, Kids fun run, car show, arts and crafts vendors, quilt show, business and health expo, food vendors, kids zone, carnival and live entertainment all on tap.

Early voting set to begin Monday

The filing period, which ran from mid-January to mid-February, proved to be relatively uneventful locally with only incumbents Ashley Carmona Fivecoat, Ann Kines McDonald and Dena Risinger returning candidate packets for a position on the Terrell ISD Board of Trustees.
